The Angels are looking to re-sign both John Lackey and Chone Figgins. It's going to be tough to re-sign both of these guys, but I think it needs to be done. They already re-signed Abreu, so money is going to be tight. I think they can let Vladdy walk, but they need Lackey and Figgins back.

What do you guys think?

There's one guy making a lot of of buzz right now. His name is Sam Smith. He thinks LeBron is coming to LA next year to play with Kobe via a sign and trade.

I dont think this is possible. I would certainly welcome it, but I find it really hard to make this possible.

LeBron is a star, he's only 24, and Jerry Buss loves having stars on his team. If he comes, Kobe could take over for 3 more years, and then pass the torch to LeBron.

The Angels announced today that they have reached an agreement with Bobby Abreu for a 2-year deal and a club option for the 3rd. I think this is great. Abreu was the off season pick up of the year, and he really helped this young team. Great way to start the off-season.
